Our Ophthalmology Department performs 5.000 eye operations each year. State-of-the-art medical equipment that is constantly being expanded in accordance with international standards ensures an improved diagnosis and therapy. The department head, Prof. Dr. Carl Erb, is a specialist for glaucoma surgery. Many treatments can be performed on an ambulatory basis.

 

Our Orthoptics has its focus on children suffering with strabismus (cross-eyes). Special exercise treatments are used to reinforce eye collaboration in both eyes leading to a common visual act.
